Printer Connections
You can connect printer in 3 different ways
Wireless
Connect Printer with router wirelessly then install drivers according to operating system.
USB Connection
Connect Printer to computer with USB cable then install drivers according to Operating system.
Network Connection
Connect printer to router with ethernet cable then install drivers according to operating system.
Preparing for Setup
1. Unboxing and Inspection: Upon purchasing your Canon printer, start by unboxing it and inspecting the contents. Ensure all components, including the printer unit, ink cartridges, power cord, user manual, and installation CD (if included), are present and in good condition because without these you can face trouble installing your printer.
2. Connecting to Power: Connect your Canon printer to a power source using the provided power cable. Power on the printer and proceed to install the ink cartridges according to the Printer model.
3. Open the front cover and wait for the cartridge slot to be in front then install the ink cartridge in the slots according to color or black and make sure you install the cartridges in a proper slot because if you install the cartridges in the wrong slot then the printer will give you error messages

Check the printer setup
If you’re having trouble connecting your printer to Wi-Fi, it may be because your printer isn’t connected to your computer. Here’s how to check and set it up on both Windows™ and Mac® computers:
HOW TO CHECK PRINTER SETUP ON WINDOWS
- Make sure your printer is on, then select Start on your computer.
- Select Settings > Devices > Printers & Scanners.
- If you don’t see your printer listed, select Add a printer or scanner and wait for it to find nearby printers, if your printer is not listed on the list because your printer is not connected to the router.
- Select your printer (look for the manufacturer name and model number) because the name that appears on the list can differ from your model number.
- Select Add Device and enter the password if required make sure you put the password correctly because it is case-sensitive.
- Finally, make sure your printer is listed in the Printers & Scanners section.

HOW TO CHECK PRINTER SETUP ON MAC
- Select the Apple® menu at the top-left corner of your computer screen.
- Select System Preferences > Print & Scan or Printers & Scanners.
- If you don’t see your printer listed, click the + icon, then select your printer from the list.
- Choose your printer’s software or driver in the Use field, and click Add.
